Picnic by the Lake
We created our picnic box so you can enjoy Lokal’s flavours while watching one of the most beautiful sunsets on the southern shore of Lake Balaton. Of course, you can also take it with you on a hike, a boat trip or a day at the beach. The box is recommended for two people.
You can also take drinks with you in our compostable cups. Ask our team about the available drinks when collecting your order – we definitely recommend trying our fermented spritzers and natural wines!
Dinner by the Lake
Turn our standard picnic box into a complete dinner by adding dödölle and whey cheese dumplings.
Trout in a Tin
One of our most iconic dishes of the summer: trout fillet, homemade mayonnaise, dill, pickled red onion and smoke – sealed in a tin.
Selection of Local Produce
Artisan cold cuts and cheeses with seasonal vegetables – the treasures of the region packed into one box.
Sourdough Bread
The finest sourdough bread in the area, freshly baked by Péter Horváth in Szólád.
Potato Crisps
Because every picnic needs a little snack! Made exclusively from locally grown potatoes and fried in oil.
Dödölle – optional
Our favourite traditional potato dumplings, served with sour cream, fried and pickled onions, and Mangalica bacon.
Whey Cheese Dumplings – optional
Our take on traditional Hungarian cottage cheese dumplings: whey cheese cream, sweet toasted crumbs and raspberry mousse.
FAQ
How can I place an order?
You can place your order through our website by clicking the ORDER NOW button. Orders must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance. For orders needed sooner, please contact us by phone.
What does the picnic box include?
In addition to the dishes listed above, depending on whether you choose the standard or extended box, it includes everything you may need for a picnic except the blanket: compostable plates, cutlery and napkins. All these items can be broken down in our CleanEco composting machine. Bring the waste back to us, and we will compost it industrially before returning it to our garden. The only exception is our tin, for which we charge a deposit. The deposit will be refunded when you return it, although you are also welcome to keep the tin. Drinks are not included in the picnic box but can be ordered when collecting it.
Can I give it as a gift?
Of course! You can order a gift voucher here. When entering the voucher amount, simply enter the price of the picnic box.
Can I only order it for sunset?
Not at all! You can order it for any time during our opening hours and take it wherever you like.
